Amish Cinnamon Rolls

3 eggs
3/4 c. sugar
1 t. salt
1/2 c. warm water
1/4 lb. oleo
2 pkg. yeast
1/2 c. warm water
1 c. milk
6 c. flour
brown sugar


Beat eggs; add sugar, salt and 1/2 c. warm water. Dissolve the yeast in the other 1/2 c. warm water. Heat the milk to scalding. Add the oleo to the milk after it is hot; cool slightly. Add 3 cups of the flour and beat until smooth. Add 3 or more cups flour until it can be handled, but is still a little tacky. Let rise until double. Roll out and spread with oleo, brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll up and cut into slices; let rise again. Bake at 350 for 15 – 20 minutes
