¼ c. shortening
½ to ¾ c. milk
1 ¼ c. flour
¼ tsp. salt
1 ½ tsp. baking powder


Cut shortening into flour with a pastry blender; add salt and baking powder. Stir in enough milk to make dough sticky (use a spoon). Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes at 450 degrees.
