2 c. brown sugar
1/2 t. soda
3 1/2 c. boiling water
1 t. vanilla
1/2 c. butter
3 eggs
1/3 c. white sugar
3 c. milk
1 c. flour
Boil together first 5 ingredients. Mix rest of ingredients and add to boiling mixture. Cook until thick
