Caramel Butterscotch Pudding

Boil to a syrup:
1/4 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. water

3 T. flour
1 T. cornstarch
pinch of salt
2 egg yolks, beaten
1 1/2 c. milk

Mix flour, cornstarch, salt and a little milk to make a smooth paste, gradually add rest of milk and beaten egg yolks. Add to boiling syrup and cook until thickened
