Homemade Caramels

2 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. light corn syrup
1 c. heavy cream
1 c. milk
1 c. butter
Cook all ingredients together slowly. Stirring occasionally. Cook to firm ball (248). Remove from heat. Add 1 t. vanilla. Pour onto greased pan.
When firm turn onto Cutting Board. Cut into small pieces and wrap in plastic wrap. Pecans may be added with the vanilla.
