1 1/2 C. corn meal
1 1/2 C. water
Cook, stirring until stiff (about 6 minutes)
Remove from heat and add:
1/3 C. milk
2 t. grated onion
1 T. vegetable oil
Stir until smooth. Pour into 2 qt. bowl.
Stir in 2 beaten eggs.
Blend in:
1 C. flour
3 t. baking powder
2 t. salt
1 t. sugar
Blend thoroughly. Heat fat (1? deep) to 375
Drop by teaspoonful in hot fat.
Fry 6 – 7 minutes. Drain.
Serve with maple syrup
