2 1/4 c. boiling water
1 T. oleo
2 t. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. rolled oats
2 T. instant yeast
1/4 c. molasses
1/4 c. brown sugar
6 1/4 c. flour
Combine boiling water, butter, salt and sugar. Stir in oats; cool to lukewarm. Stir in instant yeast, molasses, brown sugar and 1 c. of flour. Beat until smooth. Add to oats mixture and enough remaining flour to make a stiff dough. Bake at 350 for 25 – 30 minutes. Makes 2 loaves.
