Overnight Cookies

4 c. brown sugar
½ c. margarine
½ c. lard (do not use Crisco or shortening)
6 c. flour
4 eggs
1 T. soda
1 T. water
1 T. cream of tartar
1 T. vanilla

Cream sugar and lard together, add eggs. Stir in water, soda, cream of tartar and vanilla. Add flour. Pack into 2 long loaves of dough on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper. Refrigerate overnight. Slice dough off loaves in thin slices. Bake at 375 degrees until lightly brown.
