4 qt. unsweetened applesauce
5 c. sugar
2 T. cinnamon
2 t. allspice
1 t. cloves
1/2 c. red hots

Combine all ingredients in 8 qt. kettle. Bring to boil over medium/low heat. Stirring occasionally, simmer until thick (about 30 minutes). To process put apple butter in jars, boil for 10 minutes.
