Sausage and Cabbage Casserole

1 sm. head cabbage
2 c. dices potatoes
1 ½ c. sliced sausage
1 tsp. salt
Pepper, to taste


Line a baking dish with cabbage leaves. Chop the rest of the cabbage and layer with potatoes and sausage; sprinkle with salt and pepper. Make a filling of 1 egg, 1 cup milk and 1 ½ cups soft bread crumbs; add salt and pepper. Pour over cabbage mixture and dot with butter. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, or until vegetables are soft.
