1 C. molasses
1 C. warm water
1 egg
1/2 C. brown sugar
1/2 t. baking soda
Crumbs:
2 1/3 C Flour
1 C. brown sugar
1/2 t. baking soda
1/2 t. cream of tarter
1/2 C. lard
1/4 t. salt
Directions
Beat eggs lightly. Add brown sugar and molasses. Put soda in warm water and add to mixture. Mix crumbs. Add 4 C. crumbs to molasses mixture. Pour into pie shells and put rest of crumbs on top. Bake at 350 for one hour. Yields 2 pies
