2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 c. sugar
2/3 c. brown sugar
1 t. baking soda
1 t. baking powder
1/2 t. salt
1 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. cloves
1 1/4 c. milk
1/2 c. oil
2 eggs
Put dry ingredients together, then add milk, oil and eggs. Bake in 13 x 9 pan in a moderate oven until done. When cool, frost.
Frosting:
Boil together 1 stick of oleo, 1/4 c. milk and 1 cup brown sugar for 2 minutes. When almost cool add powdered sugar until right consistency for frosting.
