1 ½ c. sugar
¼ c. clear jel
1 ½ c. water
Boil until thick and clear. Remove from heat and add:
1 T. butter
3 oz. strawberry Jello
2 drops red food color
1 T. lemon juice
¼ t. salt
Directions
Cool, then add 4 ½ c. sliced strawberries. Pour into 2 baked pie shells and top with whipped cream. Yields: 2 pies
