Stuffed French Toast

1 loaf bread in 1” cubes
8 oz. cream cheese
1 qt. pie filling of choice
8 eggs
2 ½ c. milk
¼ c. maple syrup
½ c. butter or margarine, melted
1 t. cinnamon


Grease 11 x 13 baking dish; layer ½ bread; then cup up cream cheese into bread; cover with pie filling; then rest of bread. Mix all the rest of the ingredients except butter and pour over bread; last drizzle melted butter over all. Refrigerate overnight. Bake 45-50 minutes at 350 degrees. It will get brown and puffed up.
