Crumbs:
2 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1 t. cream of tartar
1/2 c. lard
1 t. soda
Mix together
Filling:
4 c. milk
4 T. flour
2 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. dark syrup
2 eggs, beaten
Boil together then add vanilla. Divide filling into 3 unbaked pie crusts. Top with crumbs and bake in hot oven
